I was told it is a Scandinavian short form of Alexander. Alexander comes from the Greek and supposedly means "An aider or benefactor of men".

German and fluent English

London and the part I come from in Southern Germany (Markgräflerland, Hochrhein)

7. In which other countries have you lived and how long for:
UK (9 years), USA (1 year), Switzerland (3 years), Slovenia (two months, when this project is over)

8. Which city or country would you like to live in for some time if you had the chance:
London, Berlin and a little house on the countryside. I know, that's a weird mix.

I love a lot of food: italian, Indian, Sushi, some German dishes and particularly the vegetarian stuff at the Hirscheneck in Basel, Switzerland

No favourite artist, except maybe Sufjan Stevens from the USA and the German singer-songwriter Peter Licht. I have a favourite radio show, which is late junction (Tue-Thurs night) on BBC 3 and has an eclectic mix of music from all over the world.

I love the work of Steward Smith (stewd.io) from New York

Germany and the underdogs
